International project coordination for the Sacred Headwaters Alliance: binational Indigenous coordination across around 30 nations and 35 million hectares of rainforest in Ecuador and Peru.

The engagement

As International Project Coordinator from 2023 to 2025, I supported coordination across the Alliance’s binational territory: roughly 30 Indigenous nations and 35 million hectares of the Napo, Pastaza, and Marañón basins, the headwaters of the Amazon.

The work

Cross-border coordination across two countries and many nations, governance transition support, and work toward investment-ready conservation models. The hard part here is never the map. It is getting nations, governments, and funders on two sides of a border to move on the same plan.
