International Cooperation Office. Morona Santiago

Chief of the International Cooperation Office for the Provincial Government of Morona Santiago: stood up the province’s first cooperation table of 23 organizations and led the provincial counterpart to a $1M bioeconomy project.

The role

As Chief of the International Cooperation Office in 2024, I established the office from scratch and convened the province’s first cooperation table: 23 organizations across public institutions, Indigenous authorities, private sector, academia, and NGOs.

The work

I was the provincial counterpart for the $1M SEMBRAR bioeconomy and youth project, financed through the FIEDS fund with COSPE, and I led a team of four. This is where the cooperation-table model that Conservation International later replicated in Sucumbíos and Orellana was first proven inside a provincial government.
