National Carbon Baseline and Galápagos Standards. CEELA

Sustainability and energy consultant with CEELA and Ecuador’s Ministry of Environment: co-authored the national construction-sector carbon baseline with 40 NDC-aligned policy recommendations, and the first sustainable-construction standards for the Galápagos.

The engagement

With CEELA and Ecuador’s Ministry of Environment (MAATE), from 2022 to 2023, I co-authored the national construction-sector carbon baseline and its 40 policy recommendations aligned to Ecuador’s nationally determined contribution.

The work

I also led the consultancy for the first energy and water standards for sustainable construction in the Galápagos Islands. This is the engineering and climate-policy floor under the conservation-finance work: I can read a carbon baseline and a capital stack with the same eye.
